The department is located on the Basement A block of the hospital. The department has got one Sample Collection Room, located on the Ground Floor A block of the hospital. All the lab reports are collected from this room.

The department of laboratory services is a unique department having all the infrastructural facilities providing almost all types of investigations for diagnosis and follow up of cancer patients under one roof and a single handedly controlled by the chief of laboratory services. Major sections of the laboratory are specialized to the extent that they engage specialized staff and perform all the tests relating to their respective disciplines within the sections on the modern equipments

The department is providing the complete supportive services to the Institute and other hospitals/ nursing homes in North Delhi with state of the art equipments and time bound functioning of the sections in the department. The department has got the facilities for on-line-presentation / discussion of patient's clinical data, Histopathology, Cytology and Immunohistochemistry slides with other consultants in the Country and Abroad
